Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Some are needed to make toruschess.com work at all; others help us understand how families use the site, or measure our advertising. This page explains which ones we use and how you stay in control.
1. Your choice
The first time you visit, you will see a cookie banner with three options: Accept all, Reject all, or Customise, which lets you switch analytics and marketing cookies on or off separately.
Until you choose, analytics and marketing cookies stay switched off. Only the strictly necessary cookies run, because the site cannot work without them. We record your choice so we do not ask again on every page.
2. Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. Select Cookie Settings at the bottom of any page and the same preferences panel reopens, showing your current choices — switch analytics or marketing on or off and save. You can also email us at support@toruschess.com and we will action it for you.

4. Children
Our advertising is aimed at parents, not children. We do not use cookies to profile children or to target advertising at them. The student portal uses only the strictly necessary cookies needed to keep your child signed in safely.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you view, delete and block cookies — see the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. You can also install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the parent and student portals working.
